Abstract

Ever since the inauguration of the authoritarian regime, the Chilean economy
underwent a series of transformations. This article aims to analyze the new economic model,
with attention to the main relations between the stabilization program and the measures to
change the structures of the country’s economy, the implementation of these measures, and
how the country is inserting itself in the international economic system.
